Malachi 3:5

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against those divining, and against ones doing adultery, and against those swearing to a lie; and against those who extort from the hired laborer’s pay; and turning away the widow, and the fatherless, and the sojourner, and the one not fearing Me, says Jehovah of Hosts.

And on the third day Joseph said to them, Do this and live. I fear God.

The former governors who were before me were too heavy on the people, and had taken bread and wine from them, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their young men bore rule over the people. But I did not do this, because of the fear of God.

For it is a fire that devours to the Place of Ruin, and it would root up all my gain.

As a servant pants for the shade, and as a hireling looks for his wages,

To the chief musician; of the servant of Jehovah; of David. A statement of the wicked one: The transgression of the wicked one within my heart: There is no fear of God before his eyes.

My people, listen, and I will testify against you, whether you will listen to Me:

before Jehovah; for He comes; for He comes to judge the earth; He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His faithfulness.

before Jehovah, for He comes to judge the earth; with righteousness He shall judge the world, and the peoples in uprightness.

And the midwives feared God, and they did not do as the king of Egypt said to them. And they kept the male children alive.

And you, you shall look on men of ability out of all the people, who fear God, men of truth, hating unjust gain. And you place these over them as rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

You shall not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain; for Jehovah will not leave unpunished the one who takes His name in vain.

One sacrificing to a god shall be destroyed, unless it is only to Jehovah.

Iniquity is covered by mercy and truth, and in the fear of Jehovah men turn aside from evil ways.

The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and loftiness, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

But you, draw near here, sons of the sorceress, seed of one doing adultery and fornicating.

For the land is full of those doing adultery. For the land mourns because of a curse. The pastures of the wilderness are dried up. And their course is evil, and their might is not right.

For they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, that I should banish you, and you should perish.

As for you, do not listen to your prophets, or to those divining to you, or to your dreamers, or to ones conjuring to you, or to your sorcerers, those who are speaking to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon.

because they have committed disgraceful folly in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbor’s wives, and have spoken a lying word in My name, which I have not commanded them. For I am He who knows, and a witness, a statement of Jehovah.

And they said to Jeremiah, Let Jehovah be a true and faithful witness between us if not according to all things Jehovah your God shall send you to us, so we will do,

And though they say, As Jehovah lives, surely they swear falsely.

Shall I not call to account for these things, a statement of Jehovah? Or shall not My soul be avenged on a nation that is like this?

You shall not extort your neighbor, and not rob; you shall not allow the wages of a hired one to remain with you until morning.

And a man who commits adultery with a man’s wife, who commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, the adulterer and the adulteress dying shall die.

And a man or woman, when there is among them a medium, or a spirit-knower, dying shall die; they shall stone them with stones; their blood is on them.

And the person turning to mediums, and to spirit-knowers, to fornicate after them, I shall set my face against that person, and cut him off from the midst of his people.

Let the peoples hear, all of them. Pay attention, O earth, and its fullness. And let the Lord Jehovah be a witness against you, the Lord from His holy temple.

Are You not from aforetime, Jehovah our God, my Holy One? We shall not die, Jehovah, for You have appointed him for judgment. And, my Rock, You have established him to correct.

And I said to them, If it is good in your eyes, give My price; and if not, let it go. And they weighed My price, thirty pieces of silver.

A son honors his father, and a servant his master. and if I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is My fear? says Jehovah of Hosts to you, O priests who despise My name. But you say, In what have we despised Your name?

Yet you say, On what cause? On that Jehovah has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have acted deceitfully; and she is your companion and your covenant wife.

You have wearied Jehovah with your words. Yet you say, In what way have we wearied Him? When you say, Every doer of evil is good in the eyes of Jehovah, and in them He delights; or, Where is the God of justice?

But answering, the other rebuked him, saying, Do you not fear God, for you are in the same judgment?

And not (as we are spoken evil of, and as some report us to say), Let us do the bad things so that the good things may come, the judgment of whom is just.

And when you send him out free from you, you shall not let him go away empty.

There shall not be found in you one who passes his son or his daughter through the fire, one that uses divination, an observer of clouds, or one divining, or a whisperer of spells,

You shall not pervert judgment of a sojourner, or of an orphan; and you shall not take a widow’s garment as pledge.

Cursed is he who perverts the judgment of the sojourner, the fatherless, and widow! And all the people shall say, Amen!

You shall not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

not to go beyond and to take advantage of his brother in the matter, because the Lord is the avenger concerning all these, even as we told you before, and solemnly testified.

Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge fornicators and adulterers.

But before all things, my brothers, do not swear, neither by the heaven, nor by the earth, nor any other oath; but let your yes be yes, and the no, no; that you may not fall under judgment.

Behold, the wages of the workmen having reaped your fields cry out, being kept back by you. And the cries of the ones having reaped have entered “into the ears of the Lord of Hosts.” Isa. 5:9

But for the cowardly and faithless ones, and disgusting ones, and murderers, and fornicators, and users of magic, and idolaters, and all liars, their part will be in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

But outside are the dogs and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one loving a lie, and making a lie.
