And it happened, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his garments, he sent to the king, saying, Why have you torn your garments? Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.

And they shall not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that prepared not its heart; yea, whose spirit was not faithful with God.

And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh and said to him, So says Jehovah the God of the Hebrews, Until when will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Send away My people so that they may serve Me.

And Jehovah said to Moses, Until when do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?

O Jerusalem, cleanse your heart from evil that you may be saved. Until when will your thoughts of iniquity lodge within you?

And Jehovah said to Moses, Until when will this people despise Me? And until when will they continue not to believe in Me for all the signs I have done in its midst?

Until when shall I bear with this evil company who are murmuring against Me? I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel which they are murmuring against Me.

Come to Me, all those laboring and being burdened, and I will give you rest.

But answering, He said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet.

Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more evil than himself, and entering dwells there. And the last things of that man become worse than the first. So it will be also to this evil generation.

And answering, Jesus said, O faithless and perverted generation! Until when shall I be with you? Until when shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.

And standing still, Jesus said for him to be called. And they called the blind one, saying to him, Have courage, rise up, He calls you.

And answering them, He said, O unbelieving generation! How long will I be with you? How long shall I endure you? Bring him to Me.

And He said to them, Where is your faith? And being afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, Who then is this One, that He commands even the wind and the water, and they obey Him?

And I begged Your disciples, that they cast it out. And they were not able.

But as he was yet coming near, the demon tore him and violently convulsed him. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

Jesus says to him, Am I so long a time with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? The one having seen Me has seen the Father! And how do you say, Show us the Father?

Then He says to Thomas, Bring your finger here and see My hands, and bring your hand and put it into My side, and do not be unbelieving, but believing.

And for about forty years time, He endured them in the wilderness. Deut. 1:31

And with many other words he earnestly testified and exhorted, saying, Be saved from this perverse generation.

Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and the forbearance and the longsuffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

They have corrupted themselves; they are not His sons; it is their blemish; they are a crooked and perverse generation.

And we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.

Therefore, let us exert ourselves to enter into that rest, that not anyone fall in the same example of disobedience.

For, indeed, we are having the gospel preached to us, even as they also; but the Word did not profit those hearing it, not having been mixed with faith in the ones having heard it.

And from this He is able to save to the end completely the ones coming near to God through Him who is always living to intercede on their behalf.
