And all the people and the tax collectors hearing, they justified God, having been baptized with the baptism of John.

Against You, You only, I have sinned, and done the evil in Your eyes; that You might be justified in Your speaking and be clear when You judge.

For if you love those loving you, what reward do you have? Do not even the taxcollectors do the same?

But if we say, From men, all the people will stone us, for they are being convinced that John was a prophet.

And tax collectors also came to be baptized. And they said to him, Teacher, what shall we do?

For I say to you, Among those born of a woman, no prophet is greater than John the Baptist. But the least one in the kingdom of God is greater than he is.

But wisdom was justified from all of her children.

This one having been taught by mouth in the way of the Lord, and glowing in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things about the Lord, understanding only the baptism of John.

And he said to them, Then into what were you baptized? And the ones said, To the baptism of John.

For not knowing the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

And they sing the song of Moses the slave of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty, righteous and true are Your ways, King of the saints.

And I heard the angel of the waters saying, You are righteous, Lord, the One being, and the One who was, and the Holy One, because You judged these things,

And Adoni-bezek said, Seventy kings with their thumbs and their big toes cut off used to be gathering scraps under my table. As I have done, so God has repaid me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.
