Then Jesus said to them, I will ask you something, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbaths, or to do evil, to save a life, or to destroy it?

And He said to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath, or to do evil? To save a soul, or to kill? But they were silent.

And answering, Jesus spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath?

And having looked around at them all, He said to the man, Stretch out your hand! And he did so. And his hand was restored sound as the other.

But He knew their reasonings. And He said to the man having the withered hand, Rise up and stand in the middle! And rising up, he stood.

For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s souls, but to save. And they went to another village.
