Luke 4:1

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And full of the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the deserted place, forty days, being tried by the devil. And He ate nothing in those days, and they being ended, He afterwards hungered.

And he came into the region around the Jordan proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins,

the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee. And a report went out through all the surrounding region about Him.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. Because of this He anointed Me to proclaim the gospel to the poor ones; He has sent Me” to heal those being broken in heart, “to proclaim freedom to captives, and to the blind ones to see again,” to send away in freedom the ones being crushed,

And John witnessed, saying, I have seen the Spirit coming down as a dove out of Heaven, and He abode on Him.

For the One whom God sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

until the day He was taken up, having given directions to the apostles whom He had chosen, through the Holy Spirit,

Jesus the One from Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all the ones having been oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip. And the eunuch did not see him any more; for he went his way rejoicing.
