And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. And this man was righteous and devout, eagerly expecting the Consolation of Israel. And the Holy Spirit was upon him.
And Jehovah said to Satan, Have you set your heart on My servant Job because there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil?
And one shall say in that day, Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is Jehovah; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.
O man, He has declared to you what is good. And what does Jehovah require of you, but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to be humble to walk with your God?
And Jehovah came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took of the spirit which was on him, and put it on the seventy men of the elders. And it happened, as the spirit rested on them, that they prophesied, but they did not continue.
And Moses said to him, Are you jealous for my sake? Oh that it was given to all people to be Jehovah’s prophets, that Jehovah would put His spirit on them!
Joseph from Arimathea came, an honorable councillor, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God. And taking courage, he went in to Pilate and begged the body of Jesus.
This one was not assenting to their counsel and action (he was from Arimathea, a city of the Jews), and who also himself was eagerly expecting the kingdom of God,
And the ones said, Cornelius, a centurion, a just man and one fearing God, and being testified to by all the nation of the Jews, was divinely warned by a holy angel to call you to his house and to hear words from you.
