Leviticus 25:35

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And when your brother has become poor, and his hand has failed with you, then you shall help him. He shall live with you as an alien and a sojourner.

Some also were saying, We have mortgaged our fields, and our vineyards, and our houses; and we take up grain because of the famine.

If I have withheld from the desire of the poor one, or I have consumed the widow’s eyes,

Good is a man showing favor and lending; he will measure his matters with justice.

He has scattered; he has given to the needy ones; his righteousness is standing forever; his horn shall be lifted up with honor.

All the day he is gracious and lends; and his seed is for a blessing.

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Blessed is the one acting wisely to the poor one; Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.

You shall not be violent toward a sojourner. You shall not oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

and My anger shall glow, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall become widows, and your sons orphans.

If you lend money to my people, the poor one with you, you shall not be a creditor to him; you shall not put interest on him

And you shall not oppress a sojourner; and you know the life of a sojourner, since you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

One oppressing the poor one curses his Maker, but one honoring Him favors the needy one.

One mocking the one being poor reviles this Maker, one joyful at calamity shall not be free of guilt.

One favoring the poor one lends to Jehovah, and He will repay his dealing to him.

as the native among you, so shall be the alien who is staying with you; and you shall love him as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt; I am Jehovah your God.

If your brother has become poor and has sold his property, then comes his redeemer, a near relative to him, and he redeems the thing sold by his brother.

For I hungered, and you gave Me food to eat; I thirsted, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you gathered Me in;

For you have the poor with you always, and when you wish, you can do well toward them. But you do not have Me always.

But love the ones hostile to you, and do good, and lend, causing no one to despair, and your reward will be much; and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind to the unthankful and evil ones.

For you always have the poor people with yourselves, but you do not always have Me.

And according as any was prospered, the disciples, each of them, determined to send for ministry to the brothers living in Judea,

imparting to the needs of the saints, pursuing hospitality.

If possible, from you being in peace with all men;

Then “if a hostile one to you hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink; for doing this you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Prov. 25:21, 22

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich, He became poor for your sake, so that you might become rich by the poverty of that One.

For indeed concerning the ministry to the saints, it is beyond necessity for me to write to you.

only that we might remember the poor, which same thing I was eager to do.

You shall not lend at interest to your brother; interest of silver, interest of food, interest of anything loaned at interest.

Do not forget hospitality, for by this some unknowingly took in angels as guests.

Whoever has the means of life of the world, and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
