Leviticus 16:21

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

then Aaron shall lay his two hands on the head of the living goat, and shall confess over it all the iniquities of the sons of Israel, and all their transgressions, and all their sins, and shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send it by the hand of a chosen man into the wilderness.

And while Ezra was praying and making his confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, a very great congregation of men and women and children gathered to him out of Israel. For the people wept with a very great weeping.

I confessed my sin to You, and I have not hidden my iniquity; I said, I will confess over my transgression to Jehovah; and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

For I know my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me.

And you shall bring near the bull before the tabernacle of the congregation. And Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull.

One covering his transgressions will not prosper, but the one confessing and forsaking them shall have pity.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have each man turned to his own way; and Jehovah made meet in Him the iniquity of all of us.

And he shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it is accepted for him to make atonement for him.

And when he has finished atoning for the sanctuary, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, and has brought near the living goat;

And the goat shall bear on him all their iniquities to a land cut off. And he shall send the goat away into the wilderness.

And if they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their unfaitthful act with which they have acted unfaithfully against Me; and, also, that they have walked contrary to Me,

And it shall be when he is guilty of one of these, then he shall confess that in which he has sinned.

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.

For He made the One who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
