You shall not drink wine and fermented liquor, you and not your sons with you, as you go into the tabernacle of the congregation, and you shall not die; a never-ending statute throughout your generations;

In the tabernacle of the congregation from outside the veil which is by the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall arrange them from evening until morning before Jehovah; a never-ending statute for their generations, from the sons of Israel.

Wine is a mocker, strong liquor is stirring, and each one straying by it is not being wise.

But also these also have erred by wine, and have strayed through fermented liquor; priest and prophet have erred through fermented liquor; they are swallowed from wine; they stagger from fermented liquor; they err in vision; they stumble in judgment;

And every priest shall not drink wine when they go into the inner court.

Fornication and wine and new wine take away the heart.

And Jehovah spoke to Aaron, saying,

It shall be a never-ending statute for your generations in all your dwellings. You shall not eat any fat or any blood.

And the priest shall wave them, a wave offering before Jehovah. It is holy to the priest, besides the breast of the wave offering, and besides the leg of the heave offering. And afterward the Nazarite shall drink wine.

He shall separate from wine and fermented liquor; he shall not drink vinegar of wine or vinegar of fermented liquor; he shall not drink any juice of the grapes; and he shall not eat dry or moist grapes.

For he shall be great in the eyes of the Lord, and he shall not drink wine or strong drink. And he will be filled of the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.

And “do not be drunk with wine,” in which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit, Prov. 23:31

not given to wine, not a quarreler, not loving silver, but gentle, not contentious, not eager for ill gain;

Likewise, deacons are to be honorable, not double-tongued, not being given to much wine, not eager for ill gain,

No longer drink water, but use a little wine on account of your stomach and your frequent infirmities.

(It is right for the overseer to be blameless as a steward of God) not self-pleasing, not prone to anger, not given to wine, not a quarreler, not greedy of ill gain;
