He was a bear lying in wait for me, a lion in secret places.
And if if rise, You would hunt me as a lion; and again You show Yourself wonderful in me.
He lies in wait secretly like a lion in his den; he lies in ambush to catch the poor one; he seizes the humble ones drawing him into his net;
his likeness is as a lion who longs to tear, and like a young lion sitting in hidden dens.
I leveled my soul until morning. Like a lion, so He shatters all my bones. From day until night You make an end of me.
He has turned aside my ways and torn me to pieces; He made me desolate.
He walled up my ways with cut stone; my paths are crooked.
For I am to Ephraim as the lion, and as the young lion to the house of Judah; I, even I, tear and go; I bear away, and no one rescues.
Come and let us return to Jehovah. For He has torn, and He will heal us. He has stricken, and He will bind us up.
