Woe to them, because they went the way of Cain, and gave themselves up to the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the rebellion of Korah!

And Urijah the priest did according to all that King Ahaz commanded.

Woe to the wicked one! For the evil thing, the doing of his hand will be done to him.

The look of their faces answers against them; they have declared their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have dealt an evil way to themselves.

Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the powerful acts which had happened in you had happened in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

because they did not meet you with bread and with water in the way when you came out of Egypt; and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor, from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.

By faith Abel offered a greater sacrifice to God than Cain, by which he obtained witness to be righteous, God testifying over his gifts; and through it, having died, he yet speaks.

forsaking the straight way, they went astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness,

not as Cain was, of the evil one, and slaughtered his brother. And for the sake of what did he slaughter him? Because his works were evil, but the things of his brother were righteous.

But I have a few things against you, that you have there some holding the teachings of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat idol sacrifices, and to commit fornication.
