And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you come to Gerar, as far as Gaza, as you go in towards Sodom and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even to Lasha.
And they came into the fortress of Tyre, and all the cities of the Hivite, and of the Canaanite. And they went out to the south of Judah, to Beer-sheba.
Be ashamed, Sidon, for the sea has spoken, the strength of the sea, saying, I have not travailed, and not brought forth, I have not made grow young men and not raised up virgins.
And Jehovah gave them into Israel’s hand, and they struck them, and pursued them to the great Sidon, and to the burning waters, and to the valley of Mizpeh eastward. And they struck them until they did not leave a survivor to them.
And there was no deliverer, because it was far from Sidon, and they had no word with any one of mankind. And it was in the valley which is beside Beth-rehob. And they built the city and lived in it.
