Has not Moses given you the Law, and not one of you does the Law? Why do you seek to kill Me?

But as they were leaving, the Pharisees took up a council against Him, how they might destroy Him.

But seeing the son, the vinedressers said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and possess his inheritance.

And the scribes and the chief priests heard. And they sought how they might destroy Him, for they feared Him, because all the crowd was astonished at His doctrine.

And He said to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath, or to do evil? To save a soul, or to kill? But they were silent.

And going out, the Pharisees at once took counsel with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Then again they sought to seize Him. And He went forth from their hand.

Therefore from that day, they took counsel that they might kill Him.

And because of this the Jews were persecuting Jesus and were seeking to kill Him, because He did these things on a sabbath.

Because of this, therefore, the Jews were seeking the more to kill Him, for not only did He break the sabbath, but also called God His own Father, making Himself equal to God.

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is one accusing you, Moses, in whom you have hoped.

And after these things Jesus was walking in Galilee; for He did not desire to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.

Therefore some of the Jerusalemites said, Is it not this One whom they are seeking to kill?

This is the one who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him in Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living words to give to us,

Why the Law then? It was added for the sake of transgressions, until the Seed should come, to whom it had been promised, being ordained through angels in a mediator’s hand.

For neither the ones being circumcised themselves do not even keep the Law, but they desire you to be circumcised so that they may boast in your flesh.

You shall not recognize persons in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid because of the face of a man, for the judgment is God’s; and the thing too hard for you, you shall bring near to me, and I will hear it.

Moses has commanded a Law to us, an inheritance for the congregation of Jacob.
