And the sea was aroused by a great wind blowing.

For He speaks, and He raises a wind of tempest and makes its waves high;

He causes the vapors to rise from the end of the earth; He makes lightnings for the rain; He brings the wind out of His storehouses;

But the boat was already in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.

And entering into the boat, they were going across the sea to Capernaum. And darkness had already occurred, and Jesus had not come to them.

Then having rowed about twenty five or thirty stadia, they saw Jesus walking on the sea, and becoming near the boat, they were afraid.
