And the king said, What have I to do with you, sons of Zeruiah? For let him curse, even because Jehovah has said to him, Curse David. And who shall say, Why have you done so?
For a cup is in the hand of Jehovah; and the wine foams; it is fully mixed, and He pours out from it; surely all the wicked ones of the earth must drink and drain its dregs.
But answering, Jesus said, You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup which I am about to drink, and to be baptized with the baptism with which I am to be baptized? They said to Him, We are able.
And going forward a little, He fell on His face, praying, and saying, My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.
Again, going away a second time, He prayed, saying, My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to pass away except I drink it, let Your will be done.
Father, I desire that the ones whom You have given Me, that where I am, those also may be with Me, that they may behold My glory which You gave Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom was of this world, My servants would have fought that I might not be given over to the Jews. But now My kingdom is not from here.
Jesus says to her, Do not take hold of Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father. But go to My brothers and say to them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God, and your God.
looking to the Author and Finisher of our faith, Jesus, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, “and has sat down at the right hand” of the throne of God.”
