Yet, however, even out of the rulers, many did believe into Him. But because of the Pharisees, they were not confessing, so that they not be put out of the synagogue.
Hear Me, those knowing righteousness, the people of My Law in their heart; do not fear the reproach of man, and do not be bowed from their blasphemings.
And whom have you dreaded and feared? You have lied and have not remembered Me, not setting it on your heart. Have I not been silent, even from forever, and you have not feared Me?
Hear the Word of Jehovah, those who tremble at His Word. Your brothers who hate you, who drive you out for My name’s sake, have said, Jehovah is glorified. But He shall appear in your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they cut you off, and will reproach you, and will cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man;
They will make you to be expelled from the synagogue, but an hour is coming that every one killing you will think to he offers a divine service before God.
And after these things, Joseph, the one from Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but having been hidden because of fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take the body of Jesus. And Pilate gave permission. Then he came and took the body of Jesus.
This one came to Jesus by night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know that You have come as a teacher from God. For no one is able to do these miraculous signs which You do, except God be with Him.
His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should confess Him as Christ, he would be expelled from the synagogue.
