John 11:12

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

Then His disciples said, Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.

He says to them, Go back, for the little girl has not died, but she sleeps. And they ridiculed Him.

He said these things. And after this, He said to them, Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going that I may awaken him.

But Jesus had spoken about his death, but they thought that He spoke of the resting of sleep .
