And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested on all the territory of Egypt, exceedingly many. Never were there locusts like them before, and afterward none will be like them.
And they covered the eye of the earth, and the land became dark. And they ate every plant of the land, and all the fruit of the trees that the hail had left. And no green thing was left in the trees and in the plants of the field in all the land of Egypt.
And I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned and not hoed; but briers and thorns shall come up. And on the clouds I will command the rain from raining on it.
Gathering I will gather them, a statement of Jehovah. No grapes will be on the vine, or figs on the fig tree; and the leaf withers. And I will give to them those who pass over them.
And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, of which she has said, They are my rewards that those loving me have given to me. And I will set them for a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
The vine is withered and the fig tree droops, the pomegranate, and the palm tree, and the apple tree; all the trees of the field are withered, because joy has withered from the sons of men.
I have struck you with scorching and mildew. The multitude of your gardens and your vineyards, and your figs, and your olives are devoured by the creeping locust; yet you have not returned to Me, a statement of Jehovah.
Though the fig tree shall not blossom, and fruit is not on the vines; the product of the olive fails, and the fields make no food; the flock is cut off from the fold, and no herd is in the stalls,
And I will rebuke for you the one devouring, and he shall not cause to decay for you the fruit of your ground against you; and not will your vine miscarry for you in the field, says Jehovah of Hosts.
