Whom, though I were being righteous, I could not answer Him; I seek mercy for my judgment.

and prayed to Him, and He was entreated of him and heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom; and Manasseh knew that Jehovah, He is God.

If I am wrong, woe to me! And if I am being righteous, I will not lift up my head, being filled with shame and seeing my pain.

I will say to God, Do not condemn me; make me know on what ground You contend with me.

You shall make your prayer to Him, and He will hear you; and you shall pay your vows.

There the upright one might reason with Him; and I would be forever delivered from my Judge.

Once I have spoken, but I will not answer; yea, twice, but I will go no further.

Truly, I would seek to God, and to God I would put my suit,

if you would diligently seek to God, and make your prayer to the Almighty,

If I had called and He had not answered me I would not believe that He had listened to my voice;

If I am being righteous my mouth will condemn me; though I am the perfect one, He shall declare me perverse;

though I were the perfect one, I would not know my own soul; I despise my life.

They shall come with weeping, and I will lead them with supplications. I will cause them to walk by torrents of waters, in a right way; they will not stumble in it. For I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My first-born.

O my God, stretch out Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our ruins and the city which is called with Your name on it. For we do not make our prayers fall before You on account of our righteousnesses, but because of Your great mercies.

And I set my face toward the Lord God, to seek by prayer and holy desires, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.

For I know nothing of myself, but I have not been justified by this; but He judging me is the Lord.

who, being reviled, did not revile in return; suffering, He did not threaten, but gave Himself over to the One judging righteously;
