As the cloud fades, it goes, so he who goes down to Sheol shall not come up.
And now he has died. Why this, that I should fast? Am I able to bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.
For dying we die and are as water which is spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up. And God does not take a life, but has devised plans so that the outcast is not cast out from Him.
before I go; and I shall not return, to the land of darkness, and the shadow of death;
Heights of the heavens! What can you do? It is deeper than Sheol; what can you know?
For years of number will come; and I shall not return the way I shall go.
If I wait for Sheol as my house, I have spread out my bed in the darkness;
They shall go down to the bars of Sheol, when our descent together is in the dust.
For now I would have lain down and have been quiet; I would have slept. Then I would have been at rest,
Terrors are turned on me; they pursue my soul like the wind, and my prosperity passes away like a cloud.
Yea, He loads the cloud with moisture; He scatters His lightning cloud;
Look away from me and I will be cheerful before I go away and be no more.
Ones that died do not live; Departed spirits do not rise; thereforeYou called to account and destroyed them, and caused all memory of them to perish.
I said, I shall not see Jah Jehovah in the land of the living; I shall no longer look on man with those dwelling in the death-rest.
