And why do You not lift up my transgression, and make my iniquity pass away? For now I shall lie down in the dust, and You shall seek me; but I will not be.

And after he had numbered the people, the heart of David struck him. And David said to Jehovah, I have sinned greatly in that which I have done. And now, O Jehovah, I pray, take away the iniquity of your servant, for I have acted very foolishly.

If I sin, even You watch me; and You will not acquit me from my guilt.

Remember, I pray, that You have formed me as clay; and will You bring me to dust again?

Who is he who will strive with me? For now I would be quiet and die.

But man dies and is cut off, and man expires; and where is he?

I have called to corruption, You are my father; to the worm, My mother and my sister.

He flies off like a dream, and is not found; and is driven away like a night vision.

The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered; he opens his eyes, and he is not.

For now I would have lain down and have been quiet; I would have slept. Then I would have been at rest,

You said, I am pure, without transgression; I am clean and no iniquity is in me;

The eye of him who sees me shall not gaze at me; Your eyes will be on me, and I will not be.

And Bildad the Shuhite answered, saying:

I am afraid of all my sorrows; I know that You will not hold me innocent;

As for man, his days are as grass; as the flower of the field, so he flourishes.

yet he passed away, and, behold, he was not; and I looked for him, but he could not be found.

then the dust shall return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God who gave it.

Yours who died shall live, my dead body, they shall rise up. Awake and sing, those dwelling in the dust; for the dew of lights is your dew; and the earth shall cast out departed spirits.

Be not angry, Jehovah, until exceeding, and do not remember iniquity forever. Behold! Look, we pray; all of us are Your people.

And many of the sleeping ones in the dust of the ground shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches and to everlasting abhorrence.

Take words with you and return to Jehovah. Say to Him, Lift up all iniquity and take us for good, and we will repay with the calves of our lips.

On the next day, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, the One taking away the sin of the world!

who gave Himself on our behalf, “that He might redeem us from all lawlessness” “and purify” “for Himself a people for Himself for possession,” zealous of good works. Psa. 130:8; Eze. 37:23; Deut. 14:2

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And you know that that One was revealed that He might take away our sins, and sin is not in Him.
