At the sound of His giving a roar of waters in the heavens, He causes the mists to go up from the ends of the earth; He makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind out of His storehouses.
Among the vanities of the nations are there any who make rain fall? Or can the heavens give showers? Is it not You, O Jehovah our God? Therefore we will wait for You; for You do all these.
And they do not say in their heart, Let us now fear Jehovah our God who gives both the former and the latter rain in its time. He keeps for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
And I have also withheld the rain from you when it was yet three months to the harvest. And I caused rain to fall on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city. One portion was rained on, and the portion where it did not rain was withered.
And yet He did not leave Himself without witness, doing good, giving rain and fruitful seasons to us from heaven, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
