Your words have upheld him who was falling, and you have made feeble knees strong.

For the ear heard, and blessed me; and the eye saw, and witnessed for me.

I chose out their way, and sat as chief; and I lived like a king among the troops; as the mourners, and he who comforts.

Behold, you have instructed many; and you have made weak hands strong.

But now it has come upon you, and you faint. It touches you, and you are troubled.

Jehovah upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down.

There is a rash speaking like thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the wise ones is healing.

Like apples of gold in settings of silver is a word spoken at the right time.

The Lord Jehovah has given to Me the tongue of learned ones, to know to help the weary with a word. He arouses in the morning; He wakens the ear to Me, to hear as the learned ones.

Then the king’s brightness was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, and the joints of his loins shook, and his knees knocked one against this other.

So that on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort such a one, that he not be swallowed up by the excessive grief.

But the One comforting the lowly comforted us by the coming of Titus.

And we exhort you, brothers, to admonish the disobedient ones, comfort the ones being faint-hearted, sustain the ones being weak, be long-suffering towards all.

Therefore straighten up the having been weakened hands “and the having been enfeebled knees;”
