And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and stretched it out for herself on the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water poured on them out of the heavens. And she did not allow a bird of the heavens to rest on them by day nor the beast of the field by night.
And they buried the bones of Saul and of his son Jonathan in the land of Benjamin, in Zelah, in the grave of his father Kish, and did all that the king had commanded. And afterward God heard prayer for the land.
And until this and this, it happened that the heavens became black with thick clouds and wind, and the rain was great; and Ahab rode and went to Jezreel;
And all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered to Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth of the month. And all the people sat in the plaza of the house of God, trembling because of the matter, and because of the heavy rain.
And be glad, sons of Zion, and rejoice in Jehovah your God. For He has given to you the early rain according to righteousness, and He will cause the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain in the first month.
