Pay attention, O Job; listen to me; be silent, and I will speak.
Hear now my reasoning, and attend to the arguments of my lips.
Until when will you put an end to words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.
Listening, listen to my speech, and let this be your comfort;
Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons while you searched out words;
to bring back his soul from the Pit, to be illuminated with the light of the living.
If there are words, answer me; speak, for I desire to justify you.
For who has stood in the counsel of Jehovah, and has seen and heard His Word? Who has paid attention to His Word and heard?
