And these three men rested from answering Job, because he was a righteous one in his own eyes.
I will say to God, Do not condemn me; make me know on what ground You contend with me.
It is on Your knowing that I am not a wicked one; and there is no one delivering out of Your hand.
Behold, He will cut me off; I will not wait, but I will reason out my ways before His face.
Behold now, I have set my cause in order; I know that I shall be justified.
For your iniquity teaches your mouth; and you choose the tongue of the crafty.
Is not your evil great, and is there no end to your iniquities?
There the upright one might reason with Him; and I would be forever delivered from my Judge.
Surely you have spoken in my ears, and I have heard the sound of words.
You said, I am pure, without transgression; I am clean and no iniquity is in me;
Yea, will you also nullify My judgment; will you condemn Me so that you may be justified?
Turn back, please, let there be no wrong. Yea, turn back again, for my righteousness is in it.
