I am not at ease, and I am not at rest; and I am not quiet; yet turmoil comes.

Will God hear his cry when distress comes upon him?

When I expected good, then evil came; and when I waited for light, even darkness came.

And Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said:

When I say, My bed shall comfort me; my couch shall bear with my complaining;

even You scare me with dreams and terrify me with visions;

O Jehovah, because of Your name, make me live; in Your righteousness, bring my soul out of distress.
