Oh that you would stop speaking entirely, and it would be your wisdom!

Upright ones shall be amazed at this; and the innocent one shall stir himself against the godless one.

And they lifted up their eyes from afar and did not recognize him. And they lifted up their voice and wept. And each man tore his robe; and they sprinkled dust on their heads toward the heavens.

the rulers held back with words, and they laid a palm on their mouth;

Behold, I am vile! What shall I answer You? I will put my hand to my mouth.

If you have been foolish in lifting yourself up, or if you plot evil, lay your hand on your mouth!

So He sprinkles many nations. At Him kings shall shut their mouths; for they will see that which was not told to them; yea, what they had not heard, they will understand.

So he acting wisely shall keep silent in that time, for it is an evil time.

The nations shall see and be ashamed from all their forces. They shall set the hand on the mouth; their ears shall be deaf.

O the depth of the riches and of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

And they said to him, Be quiet! Lay your hand on your mouth, and go with us, and be a father and a priest to us. Is it better for you to be a priest for one man’s house, or for you to be a priest to a tribe and a family in Israel?
