In this I was not cut off by darkness; yea, He covered the thick darkness from my face.

To a man whose way is hidden, God has made a hedge about him.

When I expected good, then evil came; and when I waited for light, even darkness came.

You have taken ones knowing me from me; You have made me a disgusting thing to them; I am shut up, I will not go out.

The way of the wicked ones is as darkness; they do not know at what they stumble.

Who among you fears Jehovah, obeying the voice of His Servant, who walks in darkness, and no light is in Him? Let Him trust in the name of Jehovah, and lean on His God.

On account of this, judgment is far from us,and righteousness does not overtake us. We wait for light, but, behold, darkness, for brightness, but we walk in gloominess.

Give glory to Jehovah your God before He brings darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains. Yea, while you wait for light, He puts it into death shade, setting up deep gloom.

So their way shall be to them as slippery places in the darkness; they shall be driven out and fall by it. For I will bring evil on them, the year of their calling to account, a statement of Jehovah.

He built against me and has put around me bitterness and hardship.

He walled around me and I cannot go out; He has made heavy my bronze chain.

He walled up my ways with cut stone; my paths are crooked.

Therefore, behold, I will hedge your way with thorns, and I will wall up her wall, that she shall not find her paths.

For she did not know that I gave her grain and new wine and oil, and I multiplied to her silver and the gold they made for Baal.

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. The one following Me will not walk in the darkness, not ever, but will have the light of life.

And they cried to Jehovah, and He set thick darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea on them, and covered them. And your eyes saw that which I had done in Egypt. And you lived in the wilderness many days.
