My bone clings on my skin and on my flesh; and I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.
And You have plucked me; for it is a witness, and my failure rises up against me; yea, it answers to my face.
My skin is blackened on me, and my bones are burned with heat.
My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken and is loathed.
For my days are finished in smoke, and my bones are burned like a burning heap.
Because of the voice of my sighing, my bones cleave to my flesh.
I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am like an owl of the desert.
There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger; no peace in my bones because of my sin.
He has wasted my flesh and my skin. He has shattered my bones.
Their appearance is darker than soot; they are not recognized in the outside places. Their skin has shriveled on their bones; it is dried up, it has become like wood.
Our skin is burned black like an oven, because of the fever heat of famine.
Even the dust clinging to us out of your city, we shake off against you! Yet know this, that the kingdom of God has drawn near to you!
