And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Jehovah, I pray, make the counsel of Ahithophel foolish.

And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, Good is the counsel of Hushai the Archite from the counsel of Ahithophel. And Jehovah had ordained to break down the good counsel of Ahithophel, for the sake of bringing the evil of Jehovah to Absalom.

In the fullness of his scorn, it was distress for him; the hand of every wretched one shall come upon him.

You have made a wide place under me for my steps, so that my ankles have not slipped.

Jehovah voids the counsel of the nations, He frustrates the thoughts of the peoples.

The righteousness of the sound one shall make his way right, but the wicked one shall fall by his own wickedness.

An evil man is a snare by transgression, but the righteous ones sing and rejoice.

when you go, your tracks shall not be narrowed, and if you run, you shall not stumble.

It shall also be carried to Assyria, a present to King Jareb. Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written, “He is taking the wise ones in their own craftiness.” Job 5:13
