If I wait for Sheol as my house, I have spread out my bed in the darkness;
If a man dies, will he live again?? All the days of my warfare I will wait, until my change comes.
My spirit is in trouble; my days are extinguished; graves are for me.
They set night for day; light is near in the face of darkness.
For now I would have lain down and have been quiet; I would have slept. Then I would have been at rest,
For I know that You will bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living.
What is my strength that I should wait? And what is my end that I should prolong my life?
As the cloud fades, it goes, so he who goes down to Sheol shall not come up.
If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there!
Hope in Jehovah; be strong and He will make strong your heart; yea, hope in Jehovah!
also they shall be afraid of a high place, and terrors in the way; and the almond tree shall blossom, and the locust makes himself a burden; and desire breaks, because man goes to the house of eternity, and the wailers go about in the street;
He shall go in peace; they shall rest on their couches, walking in his straightness.
