Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
Bring near your cause, says Jehovah; let your strong reasons come near, says the King of Jacob.
Oh that to me were one to listen to me! Behold my mark! Let the Almighty answer me, and let the Man of my contention write an indictment.
Then call, and I will answer; or let me speak, and turn back to me.
If he would delight to argue with Him, he cannot answer Him one of a thousand.
Mountains, and the enduring foundations of the earth, hear the contention of Jehovah, for Jehovah has a contention with His people, and He will argue with Israel.
Behold, He will cut me off; I will not wait, but I will reason out my ways before His face.
But who will grant that God would speak and open His lips against you,
Truly, I would seek to God, and to God I would put my suit,
Shall a reprover contend with the Almighty? He who reproves God, let him answer it.
