I am a laughingstock to his friend; he calls to God, and He answers him; the just one, the blameless one is a mockery;

Should your lies make men silent? And will you mock, and no one make you ashamed?

a flame is despised in the thoughts of him who is at ease; it is ready for those with slipping feet.

He shall call on Me and I will answer Him; I will be with Him in distress; I will rescue Him and honor Him.

One walking in his uprightness fears Jehovah, but one being perverse in his ways despises Him.

O Jehovah, You have deceived me; yea, I was deceived. You are stronger than I, and You have prevailed. I am a derision all the day; everyone mocks me.

Call to Me, and I will answer you; and I will tell you great and inaccessible things; you do not know them.

But I will look to Jehovah; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.

And plaiting a crown of thorns, they placed it on His head, and a reed on His right hand. And bowing the knee before Him, they mocked Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews.

He says to them, Go back, for the little girl has not died, but she sleeps. And they ridiculed Him.

And they ridiculed Him. But having put all out, He took along the father and the mother of the child, and the ones with Him, and passed on into where the child was lying.

And being lovers of money, the Pharisees also heard all these things; and they derided Him.

And hearing of a resurrection of the dead, the ones indeed ridiculed, but said, We will hear you again concerning this.

And others received trial of mockings and of scourgings; yea, more, of bonds and of prison:
