For You have hidden their heart from understanding; therefore You shall not exalt them.

They wandered in the wilderness, in a deserted way; they found no city of dwelling;

He pours contempt on nobles, and causes them to wander in a desert; there is no path.

For the sin of their mouth is the word of their lips, even let them be taken in their pride, and for cursing and the lying which they speak.

Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart; they call to Egypt; they go to Assyria.
