turning aside the lip of the trusted men; and He takes away the reason of the aged,

turning away the heart of the heads of the people of the land; and He causes them to wander in a waste in which is no path.

For You have hidden their heart from understanding; therefore You shall not exalt them.

It is not the great ones that are being wise, and not the aged ones who understand judgment;

because God has made her forget wisdom; and He has not given to her a share in understanding.

The lips of the righteous one feed many, but foolish ones die in lack of heart.

The lips of truth are established forever, but a tongue of falsehood is only while I wink.

Lips of falsehood are a disgusting thing to Jehovah, but those who do faithfulness are His delight.
