Jeremiah 9:12

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

Who is the wise man that can understand this? And he to whom the mouth of Jehovah has spoken, that he may declare it? Why does the land perish? It is burned up like the wilderness, so that no one passes through.

Whoever is wise and will observe these things, even they shall discern the kindnesses of Jehovah.

Who among you will give ear to this, and will listen and hear for the time to come?

For the land is full of those doing adultery. For the land mourns because of a curse. The pastures of the wilderness are dried up. And their course is evil, and their might is not right.

So says Jehovah of Hosts, Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you; they make you vain; they speak a vision of their heart, not out of the mouth of Jehovah.

But if they had stood in My counsel and had caused My people to hear My words, then they would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream. And he who has My Word, let him speak My Word faithfully. What has the straw to do with the grain, a statement of Jehovah?

Yet hear the Word of Jehovah, women. And let your ear receive the Word of His mouth, and teach your daughters a lament, and each woman her neighbor a dirge.

And they will comfort you when you see their way and their doings. And you will know that not in vain I have done all that I did in it, a statement of the Lord Jehovah.

Who is wise and discerns these things? Who is discerning and knows them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the righteous one shall walk in them; but those transgressing shall stumble in them.

For they shall eat and not have enough. They shall fornicate and not increase, because they have ceased heeding Jehovah.

Be withered, farmers, howl, vine-dressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field has perished.

I have cut off nations; their towers are ruined. I made their streets waste, so that none passes by. Their cities are laid waste, that there is not a man, from there being not one living there.

Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (the one reading, let him understand), Dan. 11:31; 12:11

If they were wise they would understand this; they would consider their latter end.

Blessed is the one reading, and the ones hearing the words of this prophecy, and keeping the things having been written; for the time is near.
