My people are lost sheep, their shepherd has led them astray; they turned them back on the mountains, they have gone from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting place.

Return to your rest, O soul; for Jehovah has rewarded you.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant; for I do not forget Your commandments.

He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me to waters of rest;

You are my hiding place; You keep me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.

A Prayer of Moses, the Man of God. O Lord, You have been our dwelling-place in generation and generation.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shade of the Almighty.

The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master’s manger, but Israel does not know; My people have not understood.

For so says the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest you shall be saved; and in quietness and confidence shall be your strength. But you were not willing.

And a Man shall be a hiding place from the wind, a shelter from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place; like the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have each man turned to his own way; and Jehovah made meet in Him the iniquity of all of us.

For the shepherds have been stupid, and they have not sought Jehovah. Therefore, they shall not act wisely, and all their flock shall be scattered.

Give glory to Jehovah your God before He brings darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains. Yea, while you wait for light, He puts it into death shade, setting up deep gloom.

For long ago you broke your yoke and tore up your bonds. And you said, I will not pass by, when on every high hill and under every green tree you lay down like one doing adultery.

Can a virgin forget her ornaments, a bride her headband? Yet My people have forgotten Me days without number.

Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture, says Jehovah!

Truly, for delusion comes from the hills, a murmur on the mountains. Truly, in Jehovah our God is the salvation of Israel.

And Jehovah said to me in the days of Josiah the king, Have you seen what the apostate Israel has done? She has gone up on every high hill and under every green tree, and has fornicated there.

So says Jehovah of Hosts, Again in this place which is a waste, not with man and also beast, and in all its cities shall be a home of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

Israel is a scattered sheep, driven away by lions. First, the king of Assyria devoured him. And last, this King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon broke his bones.

And I will bring back Israel to his home, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied on Mount Ephraim and Gilead.

Because, even because they made My people go astray, saying, Peace! and there was no peace. And he builds a wall, and, behold, others daubed it with lime.

I, even I, will feed them in a good pasture, and on the high mountains of Israel their fold shall be. They shall lie there in a good fold, and they shall feed in a fat pasture on all the mountains of Israel.

I will feed My sheep, and I will make them lie down, a statement of the Lord Jehovah.

I will seek the lost, and I will return the banished. And I will bind up the broken, and I will make the weak strong. But I will destroy the fat and the strong, I will feed them with judgment.

But rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

But answering, He said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

And seeing the crowds, He was moved with pity concerning them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

For you were “straying sheep,” Isa. 53:4-6 but now you are turned back to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
