For I am with you, a statement of Jehovah, to save you. Though I make a full end among all nations where I have scattered you, yet I will not make a full end with you. But I will correct you with judgment, and I will not leave you free from guilt.
And they will eat up your harvest and your food, and they will eat up your sons and your daughters. They will eat up your flocks and your herds; they will eat up your vines and your fig trees. One shall beat down your fortified cities with the sword, those in which you trust.
And it will be when you shall say, Why does Jehovah our God do all these things to us? And you shall say to them, Just as you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve strangers in a land not belonging to you.
And it happened when I prophesied, Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, died. Then I fell on my face and cried with a loud voice and said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! Will you make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
And it happened as they struck, and I remained, even I. And I fell on my face and I cried out and said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! Will You destroy all the remnant of Israel in Your pouring out of Your fury on Jerusalem?
Are You not from aforetime, Jehovah our God, my Holy One? We shall not die, Jehovah, for You have appointed him for judgment. And, my Rock, You have established him to correct.
