For was not Israel a mockery to you? Was he found among thieves? For ever since you spoke of him, you shook yourself.

I also could speak as you. If your soul were in the place of my soul, I could bind words against you and shake at you with my head.

You made us a scorn to our neighbors, a mockery and a derision to those around us.

So they shall be confounded; their tongue falls upon themselves; everyone seeing them shall flee.

We have become a shame to our neighbors a scorn and a mockery to those who are around us.

to make their land a desolation, a hissing forever. Everyone who passes by will be stunned and will shake his head.

As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their rulers, and their priests, and their prophets,

Is it nothing to you, all who pass by? Behold, and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow which is done to me, with which Jehovah has afflicted me in the day of His burning anger.

So says the Lord Jehovah: Because Moab and Seir say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations.

As you rejoiced at the inheritance of the house of Israel because of it being a ruin, so I will do to you. You shall be a ruin, O Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it! And they shall know that I am Jehovah.

So says the Lord Jehovah: Because the enemy has spoken against you, saying, Aha! Everlasting high places have become a possession to us.

Therefore, mountains of Israel, hear the Word of the Lord Jehovah: So says the Lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, to the wastes of desolation, and to the forsaken cities which became a prey and a mocking to the rest of the nations that are round about.

This shall be to them for their pride, because they have cursed and magnified themselves against the people of Jehovah of Hosts.

I have heard the scorn of Moab, and the revilings of the sons of Ammon, with which they have cursed My people and have magnified themselves on their border.

In that hour, Jesus said to the crowds, Did you come out to take Me with swords and clubs, as against a plunderer? I sat with you according to a day teaching in the temple, and you did not lay hands on Me.

Then two plunderers were crucified with Him, one on the right, and one on the left of Him.

for with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured again to you.
