Jeremiah 48:11

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his lees and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel. He has not gone into exile. On account of this his taste remains in him, and his scent is not changed.

Our soul is exceedingly filled for itself with the contempt of those who are at ease, the contempt of proud ones.

God shall hear and answer them, even He who sits enthroned of old. Selah. There are no changes to them; yea, they do not fear God.

For the going astray of the ones of simplicity kills them, and the ease of fools destroys them.

We have heard of the pride of Moab, very proud; of his pride, his arrogance, and his rage; not so are his babblings.

The land shall completely be emptied and plundering will be plundered, for Jehovah has spoken this Word.

And Jehovah of Hosts shall make a feast of fat things for all the peoples in this mountain; a feast of wine on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, refined wine on the lees.

I spoke to you in your prosperity, but you said, I will not hear. This has been your way from your youth, for you have not obeyed My voice.

So, behold, the days come, a statement of Jehovah, that I will send ones tipping to him who will tip him over, and shall empty his vessels, and break their jars in pieces.

We have heard the pride of Moab, he is exceeding proud; his haughtiness, and his pride, and his arrogance, and his elevated heart.

Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, has devoured us. He has crushed us. He has set us up as an empty vessel. He has swallowed us like a jackal. He has filled his belly with delicacies. He has cast me out.

She is empty, even waste, even devastated. And the heart is melted, and the knocking of the knees; and trembling is in all the loins; and all of their faces collect heat.

For Jehovah has turned the glory of Jacob like the glory of Israel. For those emptying have emptied them and have destroyed their vine branches.

And it shall be in that time, I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and call to account the men being settled on their lees; who say in their heart, Jehovah will not do good, and not will He do evil.

And with great wrath I am angered at the nations at ease; in that I was but a little angry, and they helped for evil.
