Jeremiah 44:28

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And he who escapes the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, a few in number. And all the remnant of Judah who have gone into the land of Egypt, to sojourn there, shall know whose word shall stand, theirs or Mine.

Jehovah’s counsel stands forever, the thoughts of His heart to generation and generation.

And the rest of the trees of the forest shall be few, even a boy might write them.

For though Your people Israel is like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of it shall return, and an end will be decisive, overflowing with righteousness.

And it shall be to all the men who have set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there, they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the plague, and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring on them.

For I will call to account those who dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have called to account Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the plague,

so that none of the remnant of Judah which has gone into the land of Egypt, to sojourn there, will be a fugitive, or a survivor, and turn back to the land of Judah to which they are lifting up their soul to turn back to live there, for none shall return, except the ones who escape.

And this shall be the sign to you, says Jehovah, that I will call you to account in this place, so that you may know that My words rising shall rise against you for your evil doing:

You who have escaped the sword, go away. Do not stand still. Remember Jehovah afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your heart.

Yet I will leave a remainder, so that may be left to you refugees of the sword among the nations, in your scattering among the lands.

But My words and My statutes which I commanded My servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? And they turned back and said, As Jehovah of Hosts planned to do to us, according to our ways and according to our doings, so He has done with us.

And Moses said, Why do you now transgress the mouth of Jehovah, since it will not prosper?

The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away, not ever!
