King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

Perhaps their supplication will fall before Jehovah, and each man will turn from his evil way. For great is the anger and the wrath that Jehovah has spoken against this people.

Go, inquire of Jehovah for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, as to the words of this book that has been found; for great is the wrath of Jehovah that burns against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that which is written concerning us.

because they have forsaken Me and have burned incense to other gods, that they might provoke Me to anger with all the works of their hands; and My wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.

Go, inquire of Jehovah for me and for him who is left in Israel and in Judah, as to the words of the book that has been found, for great is the wrath of Jehovah that is poured out on us, because our fathers have not kept the Word of Jehovah, to do according to all that is written in this book.

And it happened in the days of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to those gone into exile of Jerusalem in the fifth month.

And it shall be, when you declare to this people all these words, they will say to you, Why has Jehovah spoken all this great evil against us? And what is our iniquity, or what our sin that we have sinned against Jehovah our God?

So says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring to this city, and on all its towns, all the evil that I have spoken against it, because they have stiffened their necks in order not to hear My words.

And I Myself will fight against you with an outstretched arm and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath.

saying, Now turn each man from his evil way and from the evil of your doings, and live on the land which Jehovah has given to you and to your fathers from forever even to forever.

Perhaps they will listen, and each man turn from his evil way, and I may repent of the evil which I plan to do to them because of the evil of their doings.

Perhaps the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I plan to do to them, that they may each man turn from his evil way, and I will forgive their iniquity and their sin.

And now hear, please, O my lord the king, please let my plea fall before you, so that you do not make me return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, that I not die there.

Circumcise yourselves to Jehovah, and take away the foreskin of your heart, O men of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, lest My fury go forth like fire and burn, so that no one can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

And they said to Jeremiah the prophet, Please let our plea fall before you; and pray for us to Jehovah your God, for all this remnant, (for we are left over, but a few of many, as your eyes see us),

Jehovah has fulfilled His fury; He has poured out the anger of His nostril and has kindled a fire in Zion; and it has devoured its foundations.

And you, son of man, make for yourself vessels for exile, and go into exile by day before their eyes. And you shall be exiled from your place to another place before their eyes. Perhaps they will see that they are a rebellious house.

So the Lord Jehovah says this: I will even break in My fury with a tempestuous wind. And there shall be an overflowing rain in My anger, and stones of hail in My fury, to consume it.

As I live, a statement of the Lord Jehovah, Surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, I will reign over you.

As they gather silver, and bronze, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the middle of the furnace, to blow the fire on it to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you.

And My anger shall be spent, and I will make My fury rest on them, and I will be eased. And they shall know that I, Jehovah, have spoken in My zeal, in My completing My fury among them.

And I also will deal with fury. My eye shall not spare, and I will not have pity. And though they cry in My ears with a loud voice, even I will not hear them.

As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. And we have not made our prayer before the face of Jehovah our God that we might turn from our iniquities and understand Your truth.

O my God, stretch out Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our ruins and the city which is called with Your name on it. For we do not make our prayers fall before You on account of our righteousnesses, but because of Your great mercies.

I will go; I will return to My place until they confess their guilt and seek My face. In the oppressing one they will seek Me diligently.

Yet even now turn to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with wailing, a statement of Jehovah.

And tear your heart, and not your clothes; and turn to Jehovah your God. For He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He has pity concerning you.

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. And let them call with strength to God. And let them each man turn back from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their palms.

Do not be as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have proclaimed to them, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Turn back now from your evil ways and your evil doings. But they did not attend or hearken to Me, a statement of Jehovah.

And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, you shall lie with your fathers, and this people shall rise up and go fornicating after the gods of the foreigners of the land into which they are going, and they shall forsake Me and shall break My covenant which I made with it.

And My anger shall be hot against them in that day, and I shall forsake them and hide My face from them. And it shall be consumed, and many evils and distresses shall find this people. And it shall say in that day, Is it not because my God is not in my midst, that these evils have found me?
