King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

For then the king of Babylon’s army was besieging Jerusalem. And Jeremiah the prophet was shut in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah’s house.

And it happened in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and camped against it, and built a siege mound all around it.

Palal the son of Uzai made strong across from the corner, and the tower which sticks out from the king’s high house, that was by the court of the prison. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh made strong.

You have taken ones knowing me from me; You have made me a disgusting thing to them; I am shut up, I will not go out.

For Zedekiah, king of Judah, had shut him up, saying, Why do you prophesy and say, So says Jehovah, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will take it?

And Hanameel, my uncle’s son, came to me in the court of the guard, according to the Word of Jehovah, and said to me, Please buy my field which is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of possession is yours, and the right of redemption is yours. Buy it for yourself. And I knew that this was the Word of Jehovah.

And the Word of Jehovah was to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

The Word which was to Jeremiah from Jehovah when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth (because his hand rules), and all the peoples fought against Jerusalem, and against all its cities, saying,

And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go to the house of Jehovah.

And the rulers were angry with Jeremiah and struck him, and they put him in the house of binding, in the house of Jonathan the scribe. For they had made it into a house of imprisonment.

And Zedekiah the king commanded, and they committed Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him a piece of bread out of the baker’s street daily, until all the bread of the city was gone. And Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison until the day Jerusalem was taken, and he was there when Jerusalem was taken.

And Jeremiah came in and went out among the people, for they had not put him into a house of imprisonment.

And they drew up Jeremiah with ropes and brought him up out of the pit. And Jeremiah dwelt in the court of the prison.

And they took Jeremiah and threw him into the pit of Malchiah, the king’s son, which was in the court of the prison. And they let Jeremiah down with ropes. But no water was in the pit, only mud. And Jeremiah sank into the mud.

Rejoice and be exceeding joyful, for your reward is great in Heaven; for in this way they persecuted the prophets, the ones before you.
