Jeremiah 31:40

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And the whole valley of the corpses and the ashes and all the fields to the torrent Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate east, shall be holy to Jehovah. It shall not be torn up, and not torn down any more, forever.

And all the land was weeping with a loud voice. And all the people were passing over. And the king was passing over through the torrent Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.

And they laid hands on her, and she entered the way of the horse’s entrance to the house of the king, and was caused to die there.

And the altars that were on the top of the upper room of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of Jehovah, the king broke down, and ran from there and threw the dust of them into the torrent Kidron.

And he brought out the Asherah from the house of Jehovah to the outside of Jerusalem, to the torrent Kidron, and burned it at the torrent Kidron, and pulverized it to powder, and threw the powder of it on the graves of the sons of the people.

And they put hands to her, and she came into the entrance of the Gate of Horses, beside the king’s house, and they caused her to die there.

The priests each man made strong from above the Horse Gate, each before his house.

O God, We have given thought on Your loving-kindness, in the midst of Your temple.

So says your Lord Jehovah and your God, He strives for His people. Behold, I have taken the cup of reeling out of your hand, the bowl of the cup of My fury; you shall not yet again drink it.

Behold, I have today appointed you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to tear down, and to destroy, and to cast down, to build, and to plant.

The instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, or to break down, and to cause it to perish,

And therefore now so says Jehovah, the God of Israel, concerning this city, of which you say, It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the plague;

And they shall spread them before the sun and the moon and all the host of the heavens that they have loved, and that they have served, and after whom they have walked, and to which they have sought, and to which they have bowed themselves. They shall not be gathered or buried; they shall be dung on the face of the ground.

And He made me pass among them round about. And, behold, very many were on the face of the valley. And, behold, they were very dry.

And they shall dwell on the land that I have given to my servant, to Jacob, there where your fathers dwelt in it. And they shall dwell on it, they and their sons, and the sons of their sons, forever. And My Servant David shall be a ruler to them forever.

And I will not any more hide My face from them, for I have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel, a statement of the Lord Jehovah.

Round about it shall be eighteen thousand cubits. And the name of the city from that day shall be JEHOVAH IS THERE.

And you shall know that I am Jehovah your God dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain. And Jerusalem shall be holiness, and aliens shall no more pass through her.

And they shall live in it. And there shall not again be a shutting in, but Jerusalem shall dwell safely.

In that day there shall be on the bells of the horses, HOLY TO JEHOVAH. And the pots in the house of Jehovah shall be like the bowls before the altar.

Having said these things, Jesus went out with His disciples across the torrent Kidron, where there was a garden into which He and His disciples entered.
