Jeremiah 30:18

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

So says Jehovah, Behold I will turn back the captivity of Jacob’s tents and will have mercy on his dwelling places. And the city shall be built on her ruin heap; and the fortress shall remain on its own ordinance.

And David the king said to all the congregation, My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and tender. And the work is great, for the temple is not for man, but for Jehovah God.

and give a perfect heart to my son Solomon, to keep Your commandments, Your testimonies, and Your statutes, and to do all, even to build this temple, for which I have prepared.

And the city was wide on both hands, and great, but the people were few in its midst, and the houses were not being built.

You shall arise; have mercy on Zion, for the time to pity her, yea, the appointed time has come.

For Your servants take pleasure in its stones, and pity its dust.

Peace be within your walls; prosperity in your towers.

set your heart on its ramparts; pass between its strongholds; in order that you may recount to the coming generation.

God is known in her strongholds for a refuge.

And He built His sanctuary like high places, like the earth He has founded forever.

To the chief musician. A Psalm for the sons of Korah. O Jehovah, You have been gracious to Your land; You have turned back the captivity of Jacob.

confirming the word of His servant, and completes the counsel of His messengers. He says to Jerusalem, You will be lived in; and to the cities of Judah, You shall be built; and, I will raise up its wastes.

He says to Cyrus, You are My shepherd; and he shall complete all My pleasure, even for Me to say to Jerusalem, You are built; and to the temple, You are founded.

And I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all the lands where I have driven them there, and I will bring them back to their fold. And they shall be fruitful and multiply.

For I know the purposes which I am planning for you, a statement of Jehovah; purposes of peace, and not for evil; to give you a latter time and a hope.

And I will be found by you, a statement of Jehovah. And I will turn back your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have banished you, a statement of Jehovah. And I will bring you back into the place from which I sent you into exile, from there.

For, behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will turn back the captivity of My people Israel and Judah, says Jehovah; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

So says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: Again they will speak this Word in the land of Judah, and in its cities, when I turn back their captivity, saying, Jehovah bless you, O home of righteousness, O holy mountain!

Behold, the days come, a statement of Jehovah, that the city will be built to Jehovah, from the Tower of Hananeel to the Corner Gate.

Again I will build you, and you shall be built again, O virgin of Israel. You will again put on your tambourines and go forth in the dance of those making merry.

And the whole valley of the corpses and the ashes and all the fields to the torrent Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate east, shall be holy to Jehovah. It shall not be torn up, and not torn down any more, forever.

For so says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards will again be bought in this land.

Men shall buy fields for silver, and write in a document, and seal it, and call witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the Negeb. For I will turn back their captivity, a statement of Jehovah.

the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of those saying, Praise Jehovah of Hosts, for Jehovah is good, for His mercy endures forever; those who shall bring the sacrifice of thanksgiving into the house of Jehovah. For I will bring back the captivity of the land, as at the first, says Jehovah.

And I will bring back the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

But you, do not fear, O My servant Jacob; and do not dread, O Israel. For, behold, I am saving you from afar off, and your seed from the land of their exile. And Jacob shall return and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make afraid.

But it shall happen in the latter days; I will turn back the captivity of Elam, a statement of Jehovah.

And after this I will bring again the prisoners of the sons of Ammon, a statement of Jehovah.

And I will multiply on you man and beast, and they will increase and be fruitful. And I will make you dwell as you formerly were, and I will do better than at your beginnings. And you shall know that I am Jehovah.

And I will bring back the captivity of My people Israel. And they shall build the cities which are desolate and live in them. And they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine of them. They shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

And the Angel of Jehovah answered and said, O Jehovah of Hosts, until when will You not have compassion on Jerusalem, and on the cities of Judah, which You have abhorred these seventy years?

Therefore thus says Jehovah: I have returned to Jerusalem with compassions; My house shall be built in it, a statement of Jehovah of Hosts, and a line shall be stretched over Jerusalem.

In that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire among cut grain. And they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left hand. And Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her place, in Jerusalem.

Jehovah also shall save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the one living in Jerusalem may not be magnified above Judah.

All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. And it shall rise and dwell in its place, from Benjamin’s Gate to the place of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananeel to the king’s winepresses.
