And it happened, when Ahab heard these words, he tore his garments, and put sackcloth on his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.

Have you seen that Ahab has been humbled before Me? Because he was humbled before Me, I will not bring the evil in his days. I will bring the evil on his house in the days of his son.

And now make good your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of Jehovah your God, and Jehovah will repent toward the evil that He has spoken against you.

Did Hezekiah, king of Judah and all Judah indeed cause him to die? Did he not fear Jehovah and entreat the face of Jehovah? And did not Jehovah repent of the evil which He had spoken against them? Even we are doing great evil against our souls.

Perhaps the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I plan to do to them, that they may each man turn from his evil way, and I will forgive their iniquity and their sin.

Perhaps their supplication will fall before Jehovah, and each man will turn from his evil way. For great is the anger and the wrath that Jehovah has spoken against this people.

And you, son of man, make for yourself vessels for exile, and go into exile by day before their eyes. And you shall be exiled from your place to another place before their eyes. Perhaps they will see that they are a rebellious house.

But the wicked one, if he will turn from all his sins which he has done, and keep all My statutes, and do justice and righteousness, living he shall live; he shall not die.

I will not execute the heat of My anger; I will not return to destroy Ephraim. For I am God, and not a man, the Holy One in your midst. And I will not enter into the city.

Who knows if He will turn back and have pity and leave a blessing behind Him, a food offering and a drink offering for Jehovah your God?

And he prayed to Jehovah, and said, Please, O Jehovah, was this not my word while I was on my own land? On account of this at first I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious God and compassionate, slow to anger, and great of mercy, and One who has pity over calamity.
