For so says Jehovah concerning the king of Judah’s house, You are Gilead to Me, the head of Lebanon; if not I will make you a wilderness, cities not lived in.

As I live, says Jehovah, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah were the signet on My right hand, yet I would tear you away!

Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah. And he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house like the high places of a forest.

Ruin on ruin has been called; for the whole land is devastated. Suddenly my tents are devastated, my curtains in a moment.

The lion has come up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations has set out. He has left his place to make your land a waste. Your cities will fall into ruins without one living in them.

your mother shall be greatly ashamed, she who bore you shall turn pale. Behold, the last of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.

Then I will cause the voice of gladness to cease from the streets of Jerusalem, even the voice of joy, and the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride. For the land shall become a waste.

Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no one to heal there? Why then has the healing of the daughter of My people not come?

And I will give Jerusalem to be a heap of ruins, a den of jackals; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, not [one] living in it.

Therefore, on account of you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the house into high places of the forest.

Open your doors, O Lebanon, and the fire will devour your cedars.

And the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad had many livestock, a very great multitude. And they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead. And, behold, the place was a place for livestock.

Please let me pass over and see the good land which is beyond the Jordan, this good hill country, and Lebanon.
