I will not hear their cry when they fast; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering I will not be pleased with them. But I will consume them by the sword, and by famine, and by the plague.

Will God hear his cry when distress comes upon him?

then they shall call on Me, and I will not answer; they shall seek Me early, but they shall not find Me.

The sacrifice of the wicked one is a disgusting thing to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright one is His delight.

The sacrifice of the wicked ones is a disgusting thing; how much more when he brings it with an evil intent!

He who turns aside his ear from hearing the Law, even his prayer is a disgusting thing.

They say, Why have we fasted, and You did not see? We have afflicted our soul, and You did not know. Behold, on the day of your fast you find pleasure; and you drive all your laborers hard.

Therefore Jehovah says this: Behold, I will bring evil on them from which they shall not be able to go forth from it. And though they cry to Me, I will not hear them.

And you, do not pray for this people; and do not lift up a cry or prayer for them. For I will not hear in the time they cry to Me for their evil.

And Jehovah said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My soul is not toward this people. Send them from My face; yea, let them go out.

They shall die of deaths of diseases; they shall not be mourned and not shall they be buried; they shall be as dung on the face of the earth. And they will end by the sword and by famine, and their bodies shall be food for the birds of the heavens, and for the beasts of the earth.

And I will strike those living in this city, both man and beast. They shall die of a great plague.

And I will send the sword, the famine, and the plague among them until they are consumed from being upon the land that I gave to them and to their fathers.

Behold, the siege mounds have come to the city, to capture it. And the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, and the famine, and the plague. And what You have spoken has happened. And, behold, You see it.

Why is this to Me; frankincense comes from Sheba, and the good cane from a land afar off? Your burnt offerings are not for acceptance, and your sacrifices are not sweet to Me.

Gathering I will gather them, a statement of Jehovah. No grapes will be on the vine, or figs on the fig tree; and the leaf withers. And I will give to them those who pass over them.

I will also scatter them among the nations which they have not known, and not their fathers. And I will send the sword after them until I have consumed them.

Or if I send a plague into the land and pour out My fury on it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast;

For so says the Lord Jehovah, How much more when the four of My evil judgments: sword, and famine, and evil beast, and plague I send on Jerusalem, to cut off from it man and beast!

And I also will deal with fury. My eye shall not spare, and I will not have pity. And though they cry in My ears with a loud voice, even I will not hear them.

They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah, but they shall not find Him; He has withdrawn Himself from them.

I hate, I reject your feast days; and I will not delight in your solemn assemblies.

Then they shall cry out to Jehovah, but He will not answer them. He will even hide His face from them in that time, as they have done evil in their doings.

And it will be, just as He called, and they did not listen; so they called, and I did not listen, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Who is even among you and would shut the doors, and you not kindle fire on My altar in vain? There is no delight to Me in you, says Jehovah of Hosts. I will not be pleased with a food offering from your hand.

And this is a second thing you do: covering the altar of Jehovah with tears, with weeping and groaning, yet not facing toward the food offering, and taking it with delight from your hand.

And I saw, and behold, a pale green horse, and the name of the one sitting on it, the name to him was Death; and Hades followed after him. And authority was given to them to kill over the fourth of the earth with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth.
