So says Jehovah, Where is the scroll of your mother’s divorce whom I have put away? Or to which of My creditors that I have sold you to him? Behold, you were sold for your iniquities, and your mother was put away for your transgressions.
I have seen your adulteries and your neighings, the plot of your adultery, your abominable idols on the hills, in the fields. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! Will you not be made clean? Until when will it be again?
Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, So says Jehovah, I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of your betrothals, your going after Me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.
Turn back, O apostate sons, a statement of Jehovah; for I am Lord over you. And I will take you, one from a city, and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion.
And I watched when for all the causes for which the apostate Israel committed adultery, I sent her away and I gave the writ of her divorce to her. Yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but she also went and fornicated.
And Jehovah said to me, Go again, love a woman loved by a friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of Jehovah toward the sons of Israel, who turn to other gods, and love raisin cakes of grapes.
And seeing Jesus, and crying out, he fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, What to me and to You, Jesus, Son of God the Most High? I beg You, do not torment me.
Truly, all things are pure to the pure, but to the ones being defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but even their mind and conscience has been defiled.
